Terms of Service

These terms are between you and Maximum Ventures LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("Keyframes", "we"), and they apply when you use the app at app.keyframes.mov. By creating an account you accept them. If you are using Keyframes for a company or a production entity, you confirm you can accept them on its behalf.
1. This is alpha software
Keyframes is in private alpha. That has practical consequences you should weigh before putting a production into it:
- Features can change or be removed.
- There is no uptime commitment and no support commitment. We will try, but nothing here is a service level agreement.
- Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. Keyframes exports your script and your documents; use that. Bugs, mistakes and outages during an alpha are realistic possibilities, not remote ones.
- The alpha is free. If that changes, you will be told before you are charged anything.
2. Your account
You need a working email address, and you must be at least 16. Keep your sign-in link and your session private — anyone with them can act as you. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including what people you invite do with the access you give them.
3. Your work stays yours
Everything you write, upload or create in Keyframes remains yours. We claim no ownership of your script, your production, or anything derived from it, and we do not use your work to train AI models.
You grant us only the permission we need to run the service for you: to store your content, to process it in order to display it, generate documents from it and sync it between the people you have invited, and to send it to the processors listed in thePrivacy Policy for those purposes. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account.
4. What you put in
You are responsible for having the right to use what you upload. Don't use Keyframes to:
- Infringe someone else's copyright or other rights.
- Store personal data about cast, crew or anyone else without a lawful reason to hold it. Contact records and call sheets are exactly the place this matters.
- Break the law, or try to break into, overload or reverse-engineer the service.
- Resell access, or share one account between people who should each have their own.
5. The assistant
Key can look things up in your production and propose changes. It never applies a change on its own — a person accepts each one, and every accepted change is recorded with the fact that Key proposed it. AI output can be wrong, and it is yours to check before you act on it. Nothing Key produces is professional, legal, financial or safety advice, and a schedule or budget it helps with is still your responsibility.
6. Collaborators and organisations
A production in a team organisation belongs to that organisation, not to the individual who created it. If you leave, or your account is deleted, those productions stay. Whoever administers the organisation controls access to them, including yours.
7. Paid plans
Paid plans are not active during the free alpha. When they are switched on: subscriptions bill in advance for the period you choose and renew automatically until you cancel; cancelling stops the next renewal and leaves you access until the end of the period you have paid for; downgrading may reduce limits, and you are responsible for getting under them. Prices can change with notice before your next renewal. Payments are handled by Stripe under their own terms — we never see your card number.
8. Ending it
You can stop using Keyframes and delete your account at any time, from Settings. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or if we stop running the service. If we shut the service down we will give you reasonable notice and a chance to export your work.
9. No warranty
Keyframes is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties — express or implied — about fitness for a particular purpose, availability, or that the service will be error-free. Some jurisdictions do not allow this, in which case the exclusion applies as far as it can and no further.
10. Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, for lost profit, or for lost or corrupted data. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim — which, during the free alpha, is nothing. This is the trade for software given away while it is still being built, and it is why clause 1 tells you to keep your own copies.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
11. Changes to these terms
We will email you before a material change takes effect. Continuing to use Keyframes after that means you accept the new terms; if you do not, delete your account.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida and the federal law of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts located in Florida, and you and we each agree to their jurisdiction. If you are a consumer somewhere whose law gives you the right to bring a claim locally, this clause does not take that away.
